Climax of Sunny Deol’s ‘Lahore 1947’ Will Have Train Sequence of Partition Era

Mumbai: The climax of Sunny Deol’s upcoming film ‘Lahore 1947’ will have an ambitious train sequence of the partition era.

In this sequence of the film produced by Aamir Khan’s production house, and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the characters will make the train journey across the border in the midst of communal riots during the partition.

As per reports, this scene from ‘Lahore 1947’ will be a visual spectacle which will be filmed for several weeks. It will showcase the volatile emotions amidst chaos of the partition era.

In this period drama has Sunny and Preity Zinta. It also has Sunny’s elder son, Karan Deol playing a character named Javed.  Actor-producer Aamir Khan confirmed it and shared, “I am so happy that Karan Deol has tested so well for the extremely critical role of Javed. His natural innocence, his sincerity, and his honesty bring a lot to the table.”

“Javed is a great part, a very challenging part, and I am sure that with Raj Santoshi to direct him, Karan will nail it,” Aamir added.

‘Lahore 1947’ will mark the reunion of Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Santoshi after ‘Andaz Apna Apna’. On the other hand, Santoshi and Sunny Deol have previously come up with blockbusters like ‘Ghayal,’ ‘Damini,’ and ‘Ghatak’.
