Rs 1 Cr Deposits, Buildings, Plots, Cash Unearthed by Vigilance From Kendrapara Civil Supplies Officer

Bhubaneswar: Vigilance raids on properties linked to Pradeep Kumar Mohapatra, Additional Civil Supplies Officer of Kendrapara, have unearthed disproportionate assets worth crores of rupees.

Mohapatra was found to be owning a double-storeyed building in Lingipur, Bhubaneswar, and another in Kalyani Nagar in Cuttack’s Madhupatna. He has two land plots, one at Lingipur, Bhubaneswar, and another at Kalyani Nagar in Cuttack.

He was found to be having mutual fund deposits worth approximately Rs. 1 crore, cash worth Rs. 1.21 lakh, one four-wheeler, two two-wheelers, while a bank locker in the name of his wife at SBI Main Branch, Cuttack, is yet to be opened. So, more disproportionate assets may be uncovered as the searches continue.

On Friday, vigilance officials took up simultaneous searches at five locations in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, and Kendrapara in connection with the alleged possession of disproportionate assets by Mohapatra.
