Man Kills His Father With Help of His Transgender Wife in Berhampur

Berhampur: A 74-year-old retired government employee was allegedly murdered by his son and his transgender wife when he reportedly refused to give them his ATM card at Ayodhya Nagar area under Baidyanathpur police station limits in Berhampur.

The deceased identified as Gariba Bandhu Panda (74) was allegedly killed by his son Sandip and his transgender wife Shriya.

Sandip is an engineer by profession. His wife left him when she came to know about his his relationship with a transgender.

Sandip was earlier staying in Mumbai. A few months back, he and his transgender wife Shriya returned to Berhampur and were staying with Gariba Bandhu.

According to police sources, the accused and his transgender wife assaulted Gariba Bandhu on August 14, when he did not give them his ATM card. In a rage the duo hit Gariba Bandhu’s head against the wall and he was critically injured.

On August 16, the duo admitted Gariba Bandhu to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital, where he was declared dead. Although the accused tried to give the impression that it was an accident, the police investigation confirmed that it was a murder. Police have arrested the two accused.
