Saif Ali Khan to Return in Race 4; But Again Without Abbas-Mustan

Mumbai: The ‘Race’ series of Bollywood is going to return with its fourth franchise. Producer Ramesh Taurani has confirmed the development of ‘Race 4’.

According to a report by Pinkvilla that quoted a source close to the production, Saif Ali Khan has been discussing Race 4 with Ramesh Taurani for a while now, and the duo has finally agreed to reboot the franchise with Race 4.

Saif Ali Khan has agreed in principle and is excited to re-enter the world of Race. Filming of Race 4 will start in the first quarter of 2025.

But directorial duo Abbas-Mustan, who directed the first two Race movies will not be directing Race 4. The makers are planning to have a fresh and credible director for Race 4.  ‘Race 3’ with Salman Khan, was directed by Remo D’Souza.

Apart from Saif Ali Khan, Race 4 will have a star-studded ensemble cast.  The star cast is being finalized.

The first ‘Race’ film was released in 2008. The film starred Saif Ali Khan, Katrina Kaif, Akshaye Khanna, and Bipasha Basu, along with Anil Kapoor. ‘Race 2’ was released in 2013 with Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez, John Abraham, and Anil Kapoor in key roles. The third film had a new cast, including Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Anil Kapoor.
