Landslide in Tripura Kills 3 Members of Family of 4

Agartala: Three members of the family lost their lives and another one was seriously injured in a landslide caused by incessant rain in Devipur ADC village in Tripura on Tuesday.

The victims were Trisankar Chakma, his wife Ranjani Chakma and their 12-year-old daughter, Mita Chakma. This family consisted of four members.

Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha promptly convened a review meeting to assess the flood situation in the state due to the continuing rains.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall to continue over Tripura for the next two days.
