Hyderabad: Over 4000 mobile phones were seized from the possession of three persons arrested by the Telangana Police on Wednesday. The arrested persons were illegally acquiring the phones and selling them to cyber criminals especially of Bihar, Jharkhand.
A team of Telangana Police’s Cybersecurity Bureau arrested the three accused from the state’s Peddapalli district.
According to the Cyber Security Bureau personnel, the accused were purchasing mobiles from locals in Telangana at low prices were transporting them to cybercriminals operating in Bihar, Jharkhand’s Jamtara, Deoghar, and other regions.
These phones were often used by the cyber criminals in various online scams.
