Maharashtra Man Booked For Filming Woman In Dressing Room of Jewellery Shop

Mumbai: A man was booked for allegedly shooting video of a female employee in a dressing room of a jewellery shop in Thane in Maharashtra.

According to police sources, the incident occurred on August 23 night. The female employee was changing her dress in the dressing room after end of her duty at the jewellery shop situated in Chitalsar area. She sensed that someone was watching her and found that a man was filming her on his mobile phone through a peephole of the dressing room.

The woman shouted for help and rushed out of the dressing room. But the accused, identified as Pratik Mhatre, managed to run away.

A case has been registered against the accused under sections 77(Voyeurism) and 78 (stalking) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita.
