Drunkard Beats Wife to Death Bhadrak Dist

Bhadrak: A drunkard thrashed his wife to death in an inebriated condition at Samaraipur village under Bhadrak Sadar Police Station limits on Wednesday night.

The accused identified as Jitendra Marandi is a mason by profession. According to reports, he was addicted to liquor and was beating his wife Sabitri Marandi in the past.

On Wednesday night, he came home in an inebriated state and had a quarrel with his wife. Under the influence of liquor, he thrashed Sabitri lethally and the woman died on the spot.

After getting information about the murder, police personnel rushed to the spot, seized the body and initiated an investigation. The detained accused is being interrogated.
