Ganjam Hooch Tragedy Death Toll Rises to 4

Ganjam: Another victim of spurious liquor breathed his last during treatment taking the death toll in the Chikiti spurious liquor tragedy in Ganjam to four.

The recent deceased, identified as Baya Sethi of Karbalua village died on Sunday while undergoing treatment in the ICU at MKCG Medical College and Hospital.

Earlier, three people died in this hooch tragedy. Jura Behera and Loknath Behera of Jenapur died soon after the incident. Later, another person named Laxman Behera died while undergoing treatment at the MKCG Medical College and Hospital.

Three other victims of this illicit liquor tragedy are admitted to the ICU of MKCG Medical College Hospital. According to authorities, seven others who had become ill after consuming spurious liquor have been released after treatment.
