Nata Mandap Of Puri Srimandir To Be Air-Conditioned

Puri: The Odisha government has proposed to install air-conditioners in the ‘Nata Mandap’ of the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri to enable comfortable and seamless darshan to the devotees.

The air-conditioning of the ‘Nata Mandap’ will provide relief to devotees druing overcrowding and heat.

The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has taken the decision regarding it after consultations with all relevant stakeholders.

This air-conditioning project will be monitored by a joint committee comprising the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration, Puri District Collector, and Superintendent of Police.

To temple administration is also planning to have separate queues for elderly devotees to ensuring their comfort and convenience. The temple administration will relocate large boxes and Almirhas from the ‘Nata Mandap’ to create more space and ease movement of devotees.
