Honour Killing: Man Hacks Daughter’s Lover to Death in Rayagada Dist

Rayagada: A man allegedly hacked a youth to death in the Kashipur block of Rayagada district as his daughter had eloped with him. According to reports, the deceased youth was having a romantic relationship with the daughter of the accused.

The lovebirds had eloped two days back.

As per reports, the girl’s father allegedly called up his daughter and her lover to his home on Tuesday with the promise that he would solemnize their marriage.

But the accused allegedly hacked the youth with an axe on Tuesday night and the victim died on the spot. The angry father also attacked his daughter with the sharp weapon and escaped from the spot. Police are searching for him.

After getting information, local police seized the body of the youth and admitted the injured girl to the Kashipur CHC. She was later shifted to Rayagada District Headquarters Hospital.
