One Killed, 3 Seriously Injured in Group Clash During Ganesh Idol Immersion In Cuttack

Cuttack: One person lost his life and three others were seriously injured in a group clash during immersion of Ganesh idol at the Dhurusia village under Khuntuni police station in Cuttack district on Tuesday night.

The injured youths are admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

According to reports, youths from Gopal Sahi and Dhurusia villages got involved in a violent clash during the immersion of Ganesh idols on Tuesday night. Both groups attacked each other with sharp weapons and lathis. A minor boy died in the violent clash and three others were injured. Local police rushed to the spot and have detained two persons in connection to the violent incident.

Police forces have been deployed in the area to avoid escalation of tension.
