2 Army Officers Robbed In Madhya Pradesh, Female Friend Gang-Raped

Bhopal: Armed miscreants attacked two young army officers and their women friends near Jam Gate in the Indore district of Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday evening.  The attackers looted and assaulted the army officers and then gang-raped one of the women.

The police have arrested two of the accused. The trainee officers are undergoing training at Mhow Army College. They had gone out with the women near the firing range at Chhoti Jam in the afternoon.

Suddenly eight men armed with pistols, knives, and sticks attacked the trainee officers and the women. They robbed their money and belongings.

The attackers took one officer and a woman hostage, sending the other officer and a woman to fetch a ransom of Rs 10 lakh.

The officer informed his commanding officer, who alerted the police.

Local police along with military personnel rushed to the spot. But the attackers escaped seeing the approaching vehicles.

Both army officers and their female friends were found to be injured. The medical examination also proved that one of the women was raped.

A case under (BNS) sections pertaining to loot, dacoity, rape and under the Arms Act has been registered. Two accused have been arrested. A manhunt has started to nab the other criminals.
