Direct Bus Service from Bengaluru to Puri, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack Proposed by KSRTC

Bhubaneswar: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has come up with the proposal to start high-tech ‘Ambaari Utsav’ bus services from Bengaluru to Puri, and Cuttack, reported The Hindu.

This bus service will be via Tirupati, Vijayawada, and Visakhapatnam. It will cover over 1,500 km in about 18 hours one way. It will be the longest bus route operated by the KSRTC.

KSRTC had received numerous requests to introduce a bus service to Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, one of the most visited sacred sites in India, Karnataka Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy was quoted as saying by The Hindu.

To make the this long journey comfortable for the passengers, the KSRTC plans to use the new European-style, air-conditioned sleeper Ambaari Utsav buses, added the minister.

KSRTC has received positive responses from Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, through which the bus will pass, the report stated.

As it is a long-distance route, multiple stops at quality locations will be made to ensure passengers have a smooth and pleasant travel experience, the report on The Hindu added.
