Alleged Rape-Murder of 11-Yr-Old Girl in Nabarangpur Dist; Body Recovered

Nabarangpur: An 11-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered under Tentulikhunti police station limits in Nabarangpur district.

Her mutilated body was recovered from a bush behind a school on Tuesday evening.

The girl did not return home from school in the afternoon. After a frantic search, her family members and villagers found her body with injury marks. A cloth was stuffed inside the mouth of the body and her dress was discovered some meters away, which hinted that it was a case of rape and murder.

On being informed, local police and scientific team reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter. Police have detained three persons in connection with the alleged rape and murder case.

Nabarangpur MLA Gouri Shankar Majhi met the family members of the deceased minor girl and assured them of justice.
