2 Cops Injured in Mob Attack in Dhamnagar of Bhadrak Dist

Bhadrak: Two policemen including the ASI of Dhamnagar police station were injured when an angry mob attacked them at Chudakuti market under Dhamnagar police station limits in Bhadrak district on Wednesday.

The injured cops were admitted to the Dhamnagar hospital. One person has been detained by the police in relation to the attack on policemen on duty.

According to reports, a police team led by the ASI was at Chudakuti to arrest an accused. It is alleged that instead of real accused the police team nabbed an innocent person. Locals were irked by it and attacked the police team, injuring the ASI as well as another policeman.

Dhamnagar SDPO and IIC rushed to the spot with extra force to bring the situation under control.
