Baby Crocodile Rescued from Kathajodi River Bank in Cuttack

Cuttack: An around four month old baby Gharial crocodile was rescued by the forest officials from the Kathajodi river bank near CDA area in Cuttack on Wednesday.

After rescue, the baby crocodile was taken to the Cuttack City Forest Range office for a medical checkup. After the veterinary experts ascertain that it is healthy, it will be decided where it will be released, said forest officials.

Forest officials are investigating the origin of the baby crocodile and how it reached the river bank in Cuttack.

Around a month back, a Gharial crocodile of around 10 feet length was spotted in the Kathajodi River near Cuttack.
