‘Stree 2’ Zooms Past ‘Jawan’ to Become Top Grosser Hindi Film

Mumbai: ‘Stree 2’ has become the highest grossing Hindi film of all time on Indian Box office. It has surpassed the boxoffice collection of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan, Ranbir Kapoor starrer-Animal, SRK’s Pathaan and Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2.

Confirming the news, Maddock Films, one of the production companies of Stree 2, posted on X on Monday with a poster that read, “Indian box office’s no. 1 Hindi film of all time!” The caption read, “Woh Stree hai aur usne aakhir kar dikhaya… Hindustan ki sab se sarvashresth (She is Stree and she has finally done it…India’s best film) No. 1 Hindi film of all time!!!”

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared on X, “#Stree2 scripts HISTORY… Becomes the HIGHEST-GROSSING HINDI FILM EVER… Crosses lifetime biz of #Jawan [#Hindi version]… Next stop: Inaugurating the ₹ 600 cr Club. [Week 5] Fri 3.60 cr, Sat 5.55 cr, Sun 6.85 cr, Mon 3.17 cr, Tue 2.65 cr. Total: ₹ 586 cr. #India biz. #Boxoffice.”

Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan released on September 1, 2023 was the highest-earning Hindi movie in India with a lifetime collection of Rs 640.25 crore nett.

Animal released on December 1, 2023had a lifetime collection of Rs 553.87 crore net in India.

Yash Raj Films’ SRK starrer Pathaan’s lifetime collection at the domestic box office was of Rs 543.05 crore.

Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 had made a collection of Rs 525.45 crore at the domestic box office.
