7 Killed, 11 injured in Truck-Auto Accident in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: Seven persons including a 3-year-old child died and 11 others were injured when a truck hit an autorickshaw near Lunji village on the Sehore-Majhgawan road in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur district on Wednesday.

According to the police, the truck dragged a loading auto for around 100 meters before overturning and falling on an autorickshaw near Lunji village at around 3.30 pm.

The injured were admitted to a hospital in Sihora for treatment.

The injured included six men and four women.

All those dead and wounded were from the Pratappur village.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed grief over the incident and announced financial aid of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the victims and Rs 50,000 to the injured.

The police have arrested the truck driver for investigation.
