Elderly Woman Tied to Tree, Burnt Alive by Sons in Tripura

Agartala: A 62-year-old woman was tied to a tree and was allegedly burnt alive by her two sons in West Tripura.

Police have arrested the accused sons. Initial investigations hint that some family dispute led to this gruesome murder on Saturday night in Khamarbari in the Champaknagar police station area in Tripura.

After the death of her husband, the woman was living with her two sons. She had another son, who lived in Agartala.

After receiving an input that a woman was set on fire, a police team rushed to the spot and seized the burnt body of the woman tied to a tree. The two arrested sons are being interrogated. An investigation is underway.
