Mastermind In Record Rs 2000 Cr Delhi Drug Haul Arrested; UK, Dubai Links Suspected

New Delhi: Delhi Police’s special cell arrested Jitendra Pal Singh, alias Jassi, from the airport in Punjab’s Amritsar on Thursday following the seizure of over 500kg of cocaine valued at around Rs 2000 crore. It was the largest-ever drug seizure in the national capital. Jitendra Pal was the fifth man arrested in the case.

Jitendra Pal was nabbed while he was trying to fly off to the United Kingdom, hinting a link between organised crime in Britain and a pan-India network to smuggle illegal drugs.

Jitendra Pal has been living in the UK for the past 17 years as a ‘permanent resident’. It is hinted that he is also linked to a drug cartel that operates from Dubai in the UAE.
