Elephant Panicked During Movie Shoot Runs Away into Forest, Traced After 12 Hrs

Thiruvananthapuram: A male elephant used during a Telugu movie shoot got panicked and ran into the nearby forest near Kothamangalam in Kerala on Friday.

According to forest officials, the elephant was panicked during the filming when another tusker bumped into it from behind. The escaped elephant was located by the forest officials after more than 12 hours later.

The 57-year-old elephant named Puthuppally Sadhu escaped into the forest on Friday afternoon as the shoot was coming to an end.

The search was discontinued in the evening due to bad light and poor visibility. It was commenced Saturday morning and the elephant was found. It was brought out of the forest safely.
