Bomb Threat Received by Vadodara Airport Turns to be Hoax; FIR Lodged

Vadodara: The bomb threat email received by the authorities at the Vadodara airport turned out to be a hoax after a thorough search of the premises.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) posted at Harni airport in Vadodara received the threat email on Friday morning. Immediately a thorough search was carried out at the airport by the police, fire brigade, bomb disposal squad and dog squad, an official said.

According to the police, the email was sent from the email id [email protected] and it contained a list of airports, including Ahmedabad, Rajkot, and Bhuj in Gujarat. The email did not specify the location of the bomb.

A first information report (FIR) was registered at Harni police station under section 351 (4) (criminal intimidation by anonymous communication) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS).
