Elon Musk Joins Trump at Rally, Warns of Consequences if He Loses

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump made a dramatic return to the site of his near-assassination during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday. Speaking from behind bulletproof glass, he condemned his would-be assassin, Thomas Matthew Crooks, as a “vicious monster.” Crooks, a 20-year-old gunman, had aimed at Trump from a nearby rooftop during a rally on July 13, ultimately being shot and killed by a Secret Service agent.

As Trump began his speech, he referred to the incident that left him grazed by a bullet, reminding his supporters, “Exactly 12 weeks ago this evening, on this very ground, a cold-blooded assassin aimed to silence me.” In a powerful moment, Trump raised his fist and urged the crowd to “fight, fight, fight,” a scene that gained viral attention on social media.

Joining him on stage was billionaire Elon Musk, who praised Trump while taking a jab at President Joe Biden. Musk remarked, “We had one president who couldn’t climb a flight of stairs and another who is fist pumping after getting shot,” stressing the significance of the upcoming 2024 election. He described it as the “most important election of our lifetime” and called for Republican supporters to mobilise voters, warning that failure to do so could lead to a “single-party socialist state.”

Wrapping up his nearly seven-minute address, Trump echoed Musk’s call to action: “Get everyone you know, and everyone you don’t know, drag them to register to vote.” He concluded with a chant of “Fight, fight, fight, vote, vote, vote.”

Trump also took to social media after the rally, asserting that if he loses, the Democratic Party will “legalize so many illegals that there will be no swing states,” likening America’s future to California’s voter ID laws.
