Aniruddhacharya’s Bigg Boss 18 Entry Draws Criticism, Spiritual Leader Issues Apology

Spiritual leader Aniruddhacharya Maharaj has issued an apology following his appearance on the grand premiere of Bigg Boss 18. The controversial move sparked criticism from his followers, who felt it conflicted with his spiritual teachings.

In a video message, Aniruddhacharya expressed his regret, stating, “If my participation in Bigg Boss has hurt any Sanatani’s sentiments, this servant seeks your forgiveness. My aim was to promote Sanatan values, not to compete.” He reassured his followers, stating, “Rest assured, as long as I breathe, I will advocate for Sanatan principles.”

When questioned about his guest role in the premiere, Aniruddhacharya clarified, “I previously mentioned I would not participate in Bigg Boss, and I didn’t. I was merely a guest, not part of the main cast.”

His criticism resurfaced as an old video featured him discussing his previous refusal to join the show. “Bigg Boss invited me with a lucrative offer, but I declined as it contradicts my culture and values. Money holds no value compared to my principles,” he stated. Additionally, he made a controversial remark regarding Salman Khan’s alleged hit-and-run incident, stating, “They run cars over people sleeping on footpaths.”

Bigg Boss 18, which premiered on Sunday night, is set to run on the theme of “Time Ka Taandav” (The Wrath of Time). The show features a diverse cast of celebrities, including Vivian Dsena, Shilpa Shirodkar, Arfeen Khan, Rajat Dalal and Chahat Pandey, among others.
