1 Dead as Gunfight Breaks Out Between Two Groups in Manipur

Imphal: A gunfight occurred between two groups in Manipur’s Sinam Kom leaving one person dead.

The exchange of fire happened at Sinam Kom on the border of the Kangpkopi and Imphal East district on Friday night. The body of a 33-year-old ‘village volunteer’ who went missing following the exchange of fire was located on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Laishram Prem.

Extra security forces were deployed in the area to prevent escalation of tension.
