1 Killed, 3 Injured in Post-Poll Violence in Bihar’s Saran

Patna: One person died and three others were injured in post-poll violence in Bihar’s Saran district on Tuesday morning.

Three persons were arrested in connection with the clash.

Internet was also suspended in the district to prevent escalation of tension.

The violent clash happened in the Bada Telma area near Bhikhari Thakur Chowk, between two groups, said to be supporters of the BJP and RJD. During the political clash, guns were fired.

According to police sources, one person was killed on the spot, and three others were injured.

The deceased was identified as Chandan Yadav (25). Two of the injured were shifted to Patna for treatment while the other was admitted to a hospital in Saran.

RJD president Lalu Prasad’s daughter Rohini Acharya was the candidate in Saran against BJP MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy.
