1 More Bangladeshi National Arrested by WB Police in Bangladesh MP Murder Case

Kolkata: The West Bengal Police on Friday arrested another Bangladeshi national in connection with the murder of Bangladeshi MP Anwarul Azim Anar.

The West Bengal CID nabbed the 33-year-old Bangladeshi citizen, identified as Siam Hossain, from the Bangaon area in Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district.

Earlier, one Jihad Hawladar, an alleged illegal immigrant from Bangladesh was arrested in connection with the murder case.

Anar was allegedly murdered in a posh flat in the New Town area of Kolkata. Jihad Hawladar allegedly chopped the body of the Bangladeshi MP into 80 pieces and mixed them with turmeric before disposing them at different locations.

The Bangladeshi MP arrived in Kolkata on May 12 and went missing on May 17. Later it was confirmed that he had been murdered.
