138Kg Ganja Smuggled from Odisha in Ambulance Seized in Indore; 2 Koraput Men Arrested

Bhopal: Around 138 kg of ganja being smuggled from Odisha in an Ambulance to Madhya’s Pradesh’s Indore district was seized by the police and two persons were arrested.

Acting on a tip-off, the seized ambulance was stopped at Bherughat, about 40 km from Indore city on Wednesday.

The 138-kg consignment of ganja, hidden in packets in the rear portion of the ambulance was seized. According to police sources, the seized contraband was worth about Rs 40 lakh in the illicit drug market. , he said.

The arrested smugglers have been identified as Kiran Hantal (19) and Balram Ganapatra (21) from Odisha’s Koraput district. They were on their way to supply the marijuana consignment from Odisha in Indore and other cities of Madhya Pradesh.
