15 West Bengal Tourists Returning from Puri Injured As Bus Meets With Accident In Balasore

Balasore: At least 15 tourists from West Bengal were injured when the bus in which they were travelling met with an accident near Nidhipanda in Odisha’s Balasore district on Thursday morning.

The bus having 65 persons on board was returning from Puri. It collided with a dumper and veered into a roadside farmland along NH-60 near Nidhipanda.

The children and women on the bus had a lucky escape with minor injuries.

The bursting of a tyre of the bus is said to be the reason behind this accident. The driver lost control over the steering wheel of the vehicle, and it swayed into a roadside field after colliding with a dumper.

The injured were admitted to the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.
