2 Dead as Bike Hits Roadside Tree in Nayagarh Dist

 

 

Nayagarh: Two persons died when the motorcycle on which they were travelling crashed to a roadside tree in Nayagarh district on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Suryakant Behera of Dalak village under Odagaon police station limits and Gyan Ranjan Sahu of Madyakhanda village under Daspalla police station limits. They were travelling to Nachipur from Andharkot, when they met with the accident.

Near the Nachhipur square, Suryakant, who was driving the bike, lost control and rammed the vehicle to a roadside tree. Both of persons on the bike died on the spot.

Following the incident, the locals staged a road blockade demanding compensation for the families of the deceased. The personnel of the Daspalla police station rushed to the accident spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem and pacified the protesting locals.
