2 Engineering Students Knocked to Death in Pune by Speeding Truck

Pune: Two engineering students on a motorbike died when a speeding truck hit them from the backside in Maharashtra’s Pune city on Monday night.

The driver of the truck tried to escape from the spot after committing the accident. But he was caught and arrested.

This accident took place at around 10.30 pm on Monday in the Chandan Nagar area on Pune-Ahmednagar road.

Three engineering students were on their way to the Pune railway station. Two of them were to board a train to go to their hometown, Latur.

The truck hit their bike from the backside. One of them died on the spot, while another succumbed to injuries in a hospital.

On May 19, a Porsche car allegedly driven by an inebriated 17-year-old boy hit a motorbike in the Kalyani Nagar area from the backside in Pune, killing two IT professionals.
