2 Labourers Seriously Injured of Electrocution After Coming in Contact with 11KV Cable

Dhenkanal: Two labourers received serious burn injuries because of electrocution on Monday when they accidentally came in contact with an 11-KV electric cable while working on the terrace of an under-construction building at Aluajharan village under Tumusinga police station limits in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district.

The injured labourers were Jagga Mallik and Babuli Mallik.

According to reports, they were tying iron rods on the roof of the under-construction building owned by one Narayan Sahu on morning when they faced the mishap. A rod held by them touched the overhead 11KV cable.

Locals rushed the critically injured duo to the Kamakshanagar hospital. They were later shifted to the Dhenkanal District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) as their condition deteriorated.

The other workers nearby rescued them and admitted them to Kamakhyanagar Medical Centre.
