2 Workers Killed, Another Injured as Brick Kiln Wall Collapses in Ganjam Dist

Berhampur: At least two labourers died and another was seriously injured when the wall of a brick kiln collapsed on them at Nuagada under Patapur police station limits in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Sulabh Dora of Khuludi village and Saraswati Pradhan of Baladhia village.

According to reports, The wall of the brick kiln collapsed on a group of labourers including some women. Sulabh died on the spot. Seriously Saraswati and another person were rescued and admitted to the MKCG Medical College & Hospital in Berhampur, where Saraswati succumbed to her injuries.

Officials of the labour department and the personnel of the Patapur police station have initiated a probe into the incident.
