3 Killed, 4 Injured as Two Bikes Collide in Koraput District

Jeypore: At least three men died and four others were seriously injured when two speeding bikes collided head-on near Dumuriguda under the Jeypore block of Odisha’s Koraput district on Tuesday night.

The deceased were identified as Padman Harijan (24) of Dhanapur, Gopal Harijan (22) of Jayantgiri and Dhananjay Harijan of Sanamandapadar.

According to police sources, the accident took place at around 10.30 pm. The victims travelling on the two motorcycles, were critically injured in the accident.

Although police personnel rushed the injured persons to the Koraput District Headquarters Hospital, doctors declared three of them dead.

Out of the four injured men, two were shifted to Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem and have initiated investigation into the incident.
