4 Including 3-Yr-Old Girl Killed in Explosion at Fireworks Factory in UP

Lucknow: Four persons, including a three-year-old girl and a woman, were killed in an explosion at a firecracker factory-cum-godown in the Naushera area under Shikohabad police station limits in Uttar Pradesh’s Firozabad district on Monday night.

Six persons were injured in the blast. Due to the impact of the explosion, the roof of a nearby house collapsed. Police rescued 10 persons from the debris.

The explosion occurred at around 10.30 pm.The deceased have been identified as Meera Devi (45), Aman (20), Gautam Kushwaha (18) and Kumari Ichha (3).

The firecracker unit was allegedly operating in a densely populated area without necessary permissions.
