5 Students Lost In Saptasajya Hill Rescued After Night-Long Search

Dhenkanal: Five students, who were missing in Saptasajya Hill were rescued unhurt after a night long search operation by forest officials. They were located in the wee hours of Monday.

Four of these rescued students are from Dhenkanal while the other hails from Cuttack.

Forest officials with the help of locals managed to track down the missing students.

According to reports, out of seven students who had gone on a trekking trip to Saptasajya on Sunday, five students decided to climb to Bishnu Baba Ashram, located on the hilltop. Due to heavy rains they were stranded and lost their way. But they managed to contact their families.

Getting information from their families, police and forest officials reached the spot and rescued them with the help of locals after seven hour long search.

The rescued students are Arakhita Mahapatra, Subham Mahapatra, Himanshu Das, Sujit Sahu, and Lucky Das aged between 18 and 20 years.
