6 Including 4 Women Killed As Car Crushed Between 2 Trucks in Keonjhar Dist

Keonjhar: Six persons including four women died when the car in which they were travelling was crushed between two trucks on NH 520 in the Champua area of Keonjhar district on Wednesday.

According to police sources, the ill-fated car was travelling behind a truck that suddenly stopped and the car crashed to its backside. A second truck following too closely then collided with the car from behind.

All six deceased in the car were members of a family who were returning to their home in Barbil. They died on the spot.

The accident occurred at around 9.00 pm. On being informed, Champua police reached the spot for investigation. Fire Service personnel used cutters to recover the bodies from the mangled remains of the car.

The deceased are said to be residents of Barbil and were returning home when the accident occurred.
