Al Jazeera Staff Loses 19 Family Members in Bombing on Gaza Refugee Camp

Mohamed Abu Al-Qumsan, a broadcast engineer working for the Gaza bureau of Al Jazeera lost 19 family members in the bombing of the largest refugee camp in Gaza by Israel. Mohamed Abu Al-Qumsan lost his father, brother, two sisters, and eight nephews and nieces as well as several other relatives in the Israeli air raids on the Jabalia camp, reported Al Jazeera.

Al Jazeera condemned the incident terming it a “massacre” by the Israeli forces.

Israel claimed that 47 people were killed in the strike on Jabalia camp including a top Hamas commander involved in the October 7 attack. Palestinian authorities claimed over 50 died in the refugee camp bombing.
