Alleged Sextortion Kingpin Archana Nag Out of Jail After 14 Months, Swears to “Expose Everyone”

Bhubaneswar: Sextortion and honeytrap accused Archana Nag was released from the Jharpada jail on Tuesday. She has been in judicial custody for past 14 months.

Archana’s husband Jagabandhu Chand was at the jail gate to receive her, when she walked out of the prison.

She was granted bail by the Orissa High Court on December 4 in a honeytrap case filed against her by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Earlier the High Court had granted her bail in two other cases pertaining to blackmail and sextortion.

As part of the clauses in the bail granted to her, the court has directed Archana to cooperate with the investigation process and not to influence witnesses.

After coming out of jail, Archana told newsmen that she would expose everyone and the law would take appropriate action against the real accused.

The ED has been investigating a high-profile honeytrap case involving Archana, her husband Jagabandhu Chand, and their associates Khageswar Patra and Shradhanjali Behera on the basis of a blackmailing case filed by Odia film producer Akshay Parija.

It is alleged that Archana was extorting money from influential persons by blackmailing them through videos of their intimate moments with her.
