Another Under-Construction Bridge Over Ganga Collapses in Bihar

Patna: A section of an under-construction bridge over the Ganga collapsed in Bihar on Saturday morning. No casualty was reported in the incident

According to the authorities, a slab of the Aguwani-Sultanganj bridge over the Ganga river collapsed at around 8 am. It is alleged that the entire structure of this under-construction bridge is faulty. According to sources, it is to be dismantled by the contractor. The contractor is dismantling the structure at the direction of the Patna High Court.

In 2023, four-five pillars of this under-construction bridge had collapsed. Following it, an entire section of the bridge collapsed into the river.

In recent months several bridges have collapsed in Bihar putting doubts on the quality of construction.
