Army Soldier Martyred During Encounter With Terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: A soldier was killed in an exchange of fire with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday. According to reports, the security personnel were conducting a cordon-and-search operation in Modergam village of the Kulgam district in south Kashmir when the terrorists fired at them.

According to official sources, a soldier of the Indian Army sustained injuries in the exchange of fire and died.

The operation is underway and further details are awaited.
