At 43.8°C Bhubaneswar Experiences Hottest Day This Summer

Bhubaneswar: Although the sky was slightly cloudy on Monday, yet mercury soared to 43.8 degrees Celsius in Bhubaneswar at 2.30 pm.

Along with Bhubaneswar, two other places in Odisha recorded maximum temperatures of above 40 degrees- Balasore (40.7) and Chandbali (40.4), informed IMD.

“Due to the prevailing mainly Nor-westerly/Westerly dry air and high solar insolation, day temperature is very likely to likely to be 40°C or above at many places over the districts of interior Odisha and likely to be above normal by 3 to 5°C over some districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours,” stated IMD.

IMD forecasted that the maximum temperature is likely to fall by 2-3°C during the next 3 days in Odisha. But after that, the maximum temperature will again rise by 2-3°C in the next 2 days at several in the state.
