Bhagwant Mann Meets Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar Jail, Says He’s Being Treated Like Terrorist

New Delhi: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann met with Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar Jail on Monday. Mann criticized the treatment of Kejriwal, stating that he was being treated unfairly, more like a terrorist, and lacked even basic amenities.

Kejriwal has been in jail since April 1, following his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case.

Mann mentioned that during their meeting, Kejriwal enquired about the situation in Punjab and expressed confidence in AAP’s electoral prospects. Mann assured that AAP stands united with Kejriwal and emphasized the party’s commitment to transparency and good governance.

Security was tightened outside Tihar Jail due to Mann’s Z+ security status. Additionally, AAP leader Sandeep Pathak revealed that Kejriwal plans to review development works by calling two cabinet ministers starting next week. Pathak reiterated AAP’s dedication to serving the people and affirmed that the Delhi government’s operations would continue from jail.

Earlier in the day, Kejriwal’s judicial custody was extended till April 23. The ED has accused him of involvement in a conspiracy related to the Delhi liquor policy, which AAP vehemently denies, alleging political motives behind the charges.
