BJD Will Stand With NDA During No-Confidence Motion

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) will oppose the no-confidence motion moved by the Opposition against the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government led by PM Modi in the Lok Sabha.

He also added that BJD will extend its support to the bill that aims to replace the Delhi services ordinance. BJD’s Rajya Sabha MP Sasmit Patra informed these two decisions of the BJD on Tuesday.

BJD’s support to the bill that aims to replace the Delhi services ordinance has much significance as the BJP-led NDA does not possess an absolute majority in the Upper House on its own. The support of nine BJD MPs in the Rajya Sabha will be crucial for the NDA to get the bill passed.

Discussion on the no-confidence motion will be held in the Lok Sabha from August 8 and 10. PM Modi will reply to the discussion on August 10.
