Bridge on NH16 Collapses in Jajpur District, Traffic Stalled

Jajpur: A portion of a bridge on the National Highway No. 16 collapsed in Rasulpur block of Jajpur district on Tuesday morning. Vehicular traffic was disrupted because of this bridge collapse in front of the Rasulpur block office.

As per reports, around 10 feet long portion of the bridge has collapsed. This portion has caved in about six to seven feet. Luckily no injury or casualty was reported as no vehicle was passing at the time of the accident.

Officials of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and Jajpur district administration reached the spot to investigate the reason that led to the bridge collapse.
