Chains Holding Middle Berths Vanish from Tapaswini Express’ Compartment!

Bhubaneshwar: Passengers were shocked to find that the chains meant to hold middle berths were missing in the S-6 compartment of the Puri-Hatia Tapaswini Express train (18452) on Sunday night.

The passengers noticed the missing chains sometime after departure from Puri. This meant that the passengers assigned middle berths were left without any sleeping facility for the night.

Knowing about it, the concerned ticket collector informed the ECoR authorities and one additional coach was attached for the affected passengers at Bhubaneswar railway station.

ECoR is investigating how the chains of the middle berths of the S6 coach went missing in the Tapaswini Express.
