China’s Next Lunar Mission to Carry Pakistani Payload

Pakistan is yet to have a proper space program of its own. After India’s successful Chandrayaan-3 mission, Pakistan is trying hard to save its face by begging for support from China.

China has agreed to carry a payload of Pakistan in its next lunar mission scheduled for 2024, declared Pakistan’s space agency.   China’s Chang’e-6 lunar mission will carry this payload from Pakistan.

The Chang’e-6 mission will try to bring back samples from the far side of the moon.

The Chang’e-6 mission aims at landing the South Pole-Aitken Basin on the far side to explore and collect lunar samples.

The Chang’e-6 mission will carry payloads and satellite projects from different countries and regions – France’s DORN radon detection instrument, the European Space Agency’s negative ion detector, Italy’s laser retroreflector, and Pakistan’s CubeSat, the CNSA said.

A CubeSat is a miniaturised satellite from Pakistan.
