CRPF Personnel Injured in IED Blast by Maoists in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma

Raipur: A CRPF personnel was injured by the blast of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by Maoists in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district on Wednesday morning.

The blast took place at around 7.30 am near Kamarguda police camp under the Jagargunda police station area. A CRPF team involved in an anti-Maoist operation faced the IED blast.

CRPF’s sub-inspector Sagar Singh Tomar received splinter injuries on his leg because of the blast.

The jawan was administered first aid at the camp and was being shifted to a local hospital in Dantewada.

The IED was planted on the strategically important Aranpur (Dantewada)-Jagargunda (Sukma) road, construction of which was recently completed.
