Delhi CM Kejriwal Skips 7th Summon of ED, AAP Says “Matter Pending in Court”

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday skipped the seventh summons issued to him by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money laundering case linked to the Delhi liquor policy case.

His party, AAP, said the matter was “pending in court” to be heard on March 16, urging the ED to wait for the court’s decision.

Earlier, the ED issued the seventh summons for Kejriwal, asking him to appear before it for questioning in the Delhi liquor policy case on February 26 (Monday).

Terming them “illegal”, Kejriwal has skipped all the ED summonses. The earlier six were issued on February 14, February 2, January 18, January 3, December 22, 2023 and November 2, 2023.

On February 17, a Delhi court allowed Kejriwal to appear before it physically on March 16 in connection with the Enforcement Directorate’s recent complaint against him for skipping five summonses in the excise policy case.
